The first remains of Triceratops were found around the year 1867 in the United States of America, in the place Golden.
In 1889 the genus was given its name ''Triceratops'' which literally means "three-horn face" from the famous professor Othniel Charles Marsh.The first named species was the Triceratops horridus. Later, many more fossils were unearthed, all differing slightly in shape. Marsh and other scholars had to name 16 more species. Today, scientists believe that most of these are not separate species.

This toy Triceratops can move just like the real Triceratops and also makes dinosaur sounds.
The large bone plates on its back also have colorful LED lights and with its moving tail the Stegosaurus looks even more realistic.
